I was born and raised in DeKalb, Illinois. DeKalb is a great place to grow up, in my opinion. The opportunities that you have when there is a university (Northern Illinois) in your back yard are amazing. I knew that no matter what I ended up doing after high school, I wanted to go to school in Chicago. Here I am!
I live in the Lakeview neighborhood, a stone’s throw away from the lakefront, and in my opinion, it’s one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago (okay, so I might be a bit biased, so what?). I am a junior-almost-senior at Columbia College Chicago in the South Loop where I am studying Radio Broadcasting. Production/imaging is my love, but I will not limit myself to that by any means. I work in the radio department at this fun little office called Studio Time and some of my best friends are my coworkers.
I knit. A lot. Friends poke fun at my knitting, but really, I’m just cooler than them (so I tell myself). I have a cat named Perseus McFloofenbutt (epic name for an epic cat). I am a cupcake fiend and I love that there are so many cupcake bakeries on the north side of Chicago. I suffer (I hate, hate, hate that word) from chronic pain due to a spine that is “made out of sawdust and gummy worms” as well as what we think might be arthritis. On that note, I am terribly accident-prone and clumsy which I’m sure doesn’t help much.

Jazz hands!
This blog is all sorts of crazy. Knitting, photography, lolcats, chronic pain, and my antics. Can’t get much better than that, I’d say.
